It is reported that Xiaomi is expected to launch the Xiaomi Mi 15 series smartphones in batches shortly after the release of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform in October. Among them, the most anticipated is the Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra, which will debut in 2025. Although it will take some time before the official debut of this model, detailed information about this flagship device has begun to surface.

It is reported that the core camera system of Xiaomi 15 Ultra will undergo a moderate upgrade, and the main camera will adopt Sony’s LYT-900 sensor module.

The most eye-catching upgrade is the telephoto lens. It is reported that Xiaomi will equip the 15 Ultra with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera for the first time, supporting 10x optical zoom, replacing the 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom used in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The telephoto imaging capability of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra may be significantly improved.

In addition to the upgraded rear camera, the Xiaomi Mi 15 Ultra will also be equipped with a 50-megapixel front camera. In comparison, the Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra’s front camera is only 32 megapixels.
