Samsung S24 FE price to increase by $100, limited image upgrades

Samsung S24 FE has been the focus of heated discussion, and it is not difficult to understand why. Samsung’s “Fan Edition” phones usually allow consumers to enjoy the functions of flagship phones at a more affordable price. However, recent leaks have poured cold water on consumers who are looking forward to this phone.

According to foreign media reports, the price of Samsung S24 FE may increase by $100 (about RMB 7) compared with the previous generation, which means that its starting price will increase from $599 of S23 FE to $699. Despite the price increase, leaked information shows that the RAM and storage space of this phone have not been upgraded, and the basic version will still be equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space.

Regarding the specific specifications of the Samsung S24 FE, it is reported that it will be equipped with a larger display – a 6.7-inch panel, which is a significant improvement over the 6.4-inch S23 FE. This is also the largest screen size ever for a Galaxy fan edition phone, close to the specifications of the flagship S24 Ultra.

In terms of performance, the Samsung S24 FE is expected to be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 or Samsung Exynos 2400 processors, both of which are also standard for the flagship S24 series. However, it is worth noting that foreign media pointed out that the Exynos version commonly seen in Europe and other regions may have a clock frequency speed 100MHz lower than the same chip in the S24 series, and the Snapdragon version in the US market may also face a similar situation, that is, consumers may get a flagship chip with slightly reduced performance.

In addition, in terms of camera configuration, the leaked information shows that the S24 FE may remain the same as the S23 FE without any significant upgrades. This is undoubtedly disappointing news for consumers who hope to see a significant improvement in camera performance to match the price increase.
