As the release date approaches, discussions about the Xiaomi Mi 15 series are becoming more and more heated, especially rumors of price increases. Recently, CNMO noticed that a blogger predicted that the starting price of the Xiaomi Mi 15 standard version will be 4,599 yuan, while the starting price of the Xiaomi Mi 15 Pro will be 5,499 yuan.
Regarding the reasons for the price increase, the blogger analyzed that the rising costs of storage and chips forced manufacturers to adjust their pricing strategies. In addition, Lei Jun’s hint at the Xiaomi 14 launch conference further confirmed that the Xiaomi 15 series will bid farewell to the era of a starting price of 3,999 yuan.
Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 uses TSMC’s latest N3E process, which significantly increases the process cost and its price is about 25%-30% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, reaching between US$190 and US$200. This high chip cost will undoubtedly have an impact on the final pricing of the Xiaomi Mi 15 series.
According to the current leaked information, the Xiaomi Mi 15 series will be fully upgraded, with all series equipped with ultra-large main camera, telephoto macro, ultrasonic screen fingerprint, glass body, silicon negative battery, wireless flash charging, high-standard dust and water resistance and other high-end configurations. The Xiaomi Mi 15 standard version will adopt a 1.5K resolution straight screen design, focusing on compactness and portability; while the Xiaomi Mi 15 Pro will continue to use a 2K resolution new substrate full-depth micro-curved screen with a narrower frame design.
In terms of imaging system, the standard version of Xiaomi 15 will be equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and a vertical telephoto lens; while the imaging system of Xiaomi 15 Pro is even better, equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-large main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
