In fact, Qualcomm has done similar operations in the past few years. In 2020, the processor originally expected to be named Snapdragon 875 was finally renamed Snapdragon 888. This name has auspicious meaning and is widely welcomed by the market. After Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm renamed the 8 series flagship processor to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and it has been used to this day.
Not long ago, Xiaomi Group partner and president Lu Weibing confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 15 series will be the first batch of smartphones equipped with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 mobile platform.
