Industry insiders revealed that this year’s iPhone 16 series has only 8GB of running memory, mainly for Cloud AI, while the iPhone 17 series released in 2025 will be equipped with up to 12GB of running memory, and more Edge AI will be applied.
At present, there are few revelations about Apple’s iPhone 17 series, and the iPhone 16 series will be released at 1 a.m. Beijing time on September 10. According to online information, the iPhone 16 series will bring seven major upgrades: the screen size of the Pro series has been upgraded for the first time in 4 years, with the largest size being 6.9 inches; the standard version of the camera has been re-arranged; an independent image button has been added; exclusive cutting-edge AI functions; the first use of Samsung’s high-performance M14 OLED screen; equipped with a new A18 chip and an upgraded neural engine; and a new graphene cooling system and metal battery.
Angelo Zino, a technology analyst at CFRA Research, noted that iPhone 16 prices are likely to rise across the board as more AI features are added.
