Apple has officially announced that it will hold a special event at 1 a.m. Beijing time on September 10, and is expected to release the new iPhone 16 series. As the release date approaches, Apple is also preparing for the launch of the new phone. Counterpoint’s latest “Monthly Flagship Smartphone Display Tracking” analysis data shows that the panels of the iPhone 16 series have begun shipping in July. The panel shipments of the new series are 20% higher than those of the iPhone 15 series in June and July 2023.
For reference, as of July, the cumulative panel shipments of the iPhone 15 series were 6% higher than those of the iPhone 14 series in the same period of 2022-2023. On an M/M basis in July, the iPhone 15 series fell 44% month-on-month.

In addition, the action button will be expanded to four models, and the entire series of iPhone 16 models will be equipped with the Capture Button (previously the action button was limited to the iPhone 15 Pro model);
The standard model will be equipped with the A17 Bionic chip, and the Pro model will be equipped with the A18 Pro chip;
