On September 10, Huawei held the “Meet the Extraordinary” brand ceremony and the Hongmeng Intelligent Driving new product launch conference, and officially launched its three-fold foldable screen mobile phone Mate XT Extraordinary Master.
In terms of appearance design, the Mate XT continues the legendary diamond design of the iconic Master series, using ultra-thin leather material and providing two classic colors of red and black, showing a unique and exclusive style. Its rock vein texture design is made through 80 layers of fine steel high-temperature forging process, which took 22 days and 78 processes. Each piece of texture is unique and can be called a masterpiece of craftsmanship. This phone is not only the world’s first three-fold phone, but also has a large screen of 10.2 inches when unfolded and a thickness of only 3.6 mm when unfolded. It is one of the largest phones in the world and also one of the thinnest phones.
In terms of the screen, Huawei said that after the Mate XT tri-fold phone is unfolded, whether it is watching pictures, videos, browsing Xiaohongshu, or checking stock market trends, the field of view will be wider, providing users with a better visual experience.
Huawei’s first Tiangong hinge system allows the ultra-thin flexible inner screen to bend both inside and outside at the same time with dual-track linkage – anti-squeezing when folding inwards and anti-stretching when folding outwards. In addition, the Mate XT uses the industry’s largest UTG (ultra-thin glass), which not only enhances the screen’s impact resistance, but also makes the entire device thinner and lighter. Despite its ultra-thin body, the Mate XT is still equipped with a 5600mAh battery with a thickness of only 1.9 mm and supports 66W flash charging technology.
In terms of imaging, the Huawei Mate XT is equipped with a ten-speed physical variable aperture, supporting a maximum aperture of f/1.4, and has a 5.5x periscope telephoto lens, which allows for fast and quick shooting even in telephoto mode.
In addition, Huawei also released a portable folding keyboard with a built-in touchpad, providing users with more input options and convenience.
In terms of price, Mate XT is available in three versions: 16GB+256GB priced at 19,999 yuan, 16GB+512GB priced at 21,999 yuan, and 16GB+1TB priced at 23,999 yuan.
