iOS 18 Beta testing has come to an end and the official version will be released this month

After nearly three months of testing, developers and users are looking forward to the official version of iOS 18. On September 5, CNMO learned from foreign media that the Beta test of iOS 18 has come to an end and is expected to be officially released to the public later this month.

iOS 18 Beta testing has come to an end and the official version will be released this month

According to the latest report from Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, iOS 18 Beta 8 is very likely the final test version for developers. This inference is consistent with the release pattern of previous versions such as iOS 17, iOS 16 and iOS 15. They all follow the release practice of eight developer Beta versions, and iOS 12 is the most recent exception to the release of more than eight Beta versions.

Apple is expected to announce the release candidate of iOS 18 at the iPhone 16 launch event on September 10, which means that the update is close to its final form. As for the specific release date of iOS 18, Apple may reveal it at the launch event. Based on past experience, September 16 is the most likely release date, but September 17 and September 18 are also possible.

According to Gurman, Apple has pre-installed iOS 18 for the iPhone 16 on the production line, and these devices are expected to be officially launched on September 20.
