On September 10, Apple officially brought out this year’s new iPhone 16 series. Although everyone said that they would not sell it without any upgrades, their bodies were very honest. In terms of price, the iPhone 16 series starts at 5,999 yuan, and there is no price increase for the entire series compared to the previous generation. TechInsights believes that this strategy may put pressure on Apple’s operating profit margin as hardware upgrades and the adoption of Apple Intelligence are expected to increase costs. Maintaining competitive pricing amid rising component costs and increased investment in AI infrastructure is a challenge for Apple, but Apple may hope to offset these concerns with higher sales.

Research firm TechInsights expects iPhone 16 series shipments to exceed its predecessors, with global shipments expected to reach 73 million units in 2024. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is expected to be the best-selling model in the iPhone 16 series, accounting for 35% of total sales, thanks to its larger display, A18 Pro chip and appeal to users.
