OPPO’s triple-folding screen concept phone design revealed: extremely light and thin

Trifold smartphones have become a hot topic recently. It was reported that Huawei plans to launch a trifold screen phone next month, while TECNO showed a concept trifold device. Now, OPPO has also joined the race and showed its own trifold concept smartphone.

OPPO's triple-folding screen concept phone design revealed: extremely light and thin

Recently, the product manager of the OPPO Find series shared a rendering of this phone on Weibo. As can be seen from the picture, this phone is designed with two hinges, and the back seems to be made of imitation leather, which looks very textured. The screen border is almost invisible, which means that users can get a nearly borderless full-screen experience.

The phone will run a specially customized ColorOS interface with large widgets and a taskbar that includes many elements, allowing users to access commonly used functions more conveniently.

The concept phone is very thin when unfolded, and it doesn’t look heavy even when folded. TECNO has said that its tri-fold concept phone is only 10mm thick, which is very easy to carry for a tri-fold phone. In fact, it is thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold6, a common folding phone on the market.

Although OPPO’s three-fold screen phone is expected to be expensive, we still expect it to cause a wave of enthusiasm in the market. It remains to be seen how many such devices will be available in the next year, but it is indeed exciting to see major companies start to launch new products in this field and form competition in the market.
