Nowadays, Japanese mobile phone manufacturers have a weaker presence in the market. According to the release rhythm of new phones and leaks, Sony’s next phone should be the Sony Xperia 5 VI, which is positioned between the Sony Xperia 1 VI and the Sony Xperia 10 VI. However, there are reports that the Sony Xperia 5 VI has been delayed indefinitely.
According to overseas media reports, Sony is re-evaluating its smartphone strategy and has decided to postpone the release of the Sony Xperia 5 VI indefinitely. Although some of Sony’s supply chain manufacturers have hinted that the Sony Xperia 5 VI is under development, this phone is unlikely to be released in the near future.
At this point, it is uncertain whether Sony plans to simplify its smartphone lineup and completely abandon the Sony Xperia 5 series, or simply postpone the release of the Sony Xperia 5 VI with internal plans to launch new Sony Xperia 5 series models.
According to previous reports, Sony is currently developing three smartphones, and the IMEI database has revealed the model numbers of these models, namely: “PM-1502-BV”, “PM-1503-BV”, and “PM-1504-BV”. Unfortunately, we don’t know the specific configurations of these Sony phones yet.
